“My fourth year showing at the Fort Bend County Fair!”

Update: October 1, 2024

Exciting News! Jake and Kendrick Qualified for the Jr. Livestock Auction!

Jake and his lamb, Kendrick Lamb-ar, put in a tremendous amount of hard work and dedication this year. We are thrilled to announce that their efforts paid off—Jake and Kendrick placed 4th in their class, earning them a spot in the prestigious Jr. Livestock Auction at the Fort Bend County Fair!

The auction will take place on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. under the George Pavilion, where the top 188 livestock projects will be sold. This is a major accomplishment, and Jake is beyond excited to have made it this far!

How You Can Support Jake and Kendrick

If you’d like to show your support for Jake and Kendrick, there are two main ways to do so:

1. Participate in the Jr. Livestock Auction

  • While online registration is no longer available, you can still register as a buyer at the reception or prior to the auction.
  • Your bid would not only support Jake’s future projects but also contribute to his scholarship fund as he plans to continue raising animals in FFA.

2. Add-On Contributions

  • Want to support Jake without bidding? Consider adding on to his sale! Add-ons can be made without a buyer’s number.
  • There are two ways to add-on:
    1. Let us handle the paperwork for you: Simply let us know how much you’d like to contribute, and we’ll complete the form. You’ll receive official documentation directly from the Fort Bend County Fair.

Looking Ahead

Jake is already planning his projects for next year! He hopes to raise another lamb and is considering adding a steer or heifer to his efforts.

Your support this year has meant the world to Jake and Kendrick. Let’s make the auction a success and help Jake continue his FFA journey!

Howdy y’all!

My name is Jake Dulin, and I’m a freshman at Foster High School in Richmond, Texas. I’m also a proud member of the FFA. This is my fourth year participating, but my first year raising a lamb. You may have heard of him—his name is Kendrick Lamb-ar, and he’s been quite the handful!

Getting up at 5 a.m. every day to feed and train Kendrick hasn’t always been easy, but it’s taught me a lot about responsibility and hard work. My goal is to make it to the Jr. Livestock Auction on Thursday, October 3, where the top 188 livestock projects will be auctioned off. If we don’t quite make it there, we’ll be heading to the Freezer Sale on Saturday, October 5, where I can hopefully recoup some of my expenses.

How You Can Help:

Bid at the AuctionRegister as a bidder at the Fort Bend County Fair and participate in the Jr. Livestock Auction or the Freezer Sale. Your support would mean the world to me and would go straight toward my scholarship fund for future projects and college.

Place an Add-OnYou can show your support by making an add-on donation of any amount, and you don’t need a buyer number to do it!

Important Dates:

  • Judging: Tuesday, October 1, at 6:30 p.m.
  • Jr. Livestock Auction: Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. under the George Pavilion.
  • Freezer Sale: Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. in Building B.

If you’d like to help me out, please consider attending the auction or adding on to our sale. You can also make a straight donation if Kendrick and I don’t place high enough. Every bit of support will go toward my scholarship fund and help me continue doing what I love.

Thank you so much, and I look forward to seeing you at the Fair!

Thank you for your consideration!
